The Oakland Berkeley & Eastern focuses on the electric trains in the East Bay that carried passengers from neighborhoods and suburbs to San Francisco.
The name OB&E came from the Oakland, Antioch & Eastern, which was a predecessor to the Sacramento Northern. I changed the "A" to "B" because this site started out as an exploration of trains in the East Bay and I wanted a name similar to one I really liked, but one with a more local focus.
